Mariveles, Bataan — Following last year’s success, PNOC yet again affirms its commitment to reforestation and environmental conservation. The 2024 Tree Planting Activity was recently held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the NGCP Site in Brgy. Alion, Mariveles, Bataan.

Preparation for the event began with a two-day effort on July 13-14, 2024 at the 2-hectare planting site. In anticipation of the tree planting, tasks such as grass cutting, hole digging, and staking were completed on July 19, 2024.

A total of 130 participants from PNOC (Head Office, Industrial Park, Energy Supply Base), Philippine Resins Industries, Inc (PRII), NPC Alliance Corporation (NPCA), Orica Philippines Incorporated, Team (Phils.) Energy Corporation (TPEC), Petron Corporation, Natural Resources Development Corporation (NRDC), Eliteblue Security Specialist, Inc. (ESSI), Servicio Filipino, Inc. (SFI), Alion People’s Org, and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Bagac joined forces to successfully plant 700 saplings carried from DENR-CENRO. ​​Building on last year’s planting of cashew and guyabano saplings, 200 more of each were planted this year, along with an additional 300 jackfruit saplings. Participants walked a 2km path to the planting site, following signs that marked the route.

This tree planting initiative aligns with PNOC’s goal of creating a lasting positive impact on the environment for future generations. PNOC Park Management expresses its appreciation for its participants and their unceasing efforts to sustain this cause.
