BATANGAS – On September 21, 2021, the Philippine National Oil Company turned over a total of 1,200 N95 masks to the Provincial Government of Batangas and the Batangas Philippine National Police to contribute to the precautionary measures of the province against possible airborne ash and vog caused by the Taal Volcano eruptions.

In 2020 and 2021, Taal Volcano emitted tons of spewing ash and sulfur dioxide during eruption, affecting the communities in Batangas. PNOC, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-related activities for its host communities, donated said masks to be used by the health emergency frontliners of Batangas in the event of another volcanic eruption.

PNOC continuously aligns its CSR projects and activities to the needs of its host communities and commits to maintaining a fruitful relationship with its stakeholders.
