PNOC

TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila—PNOC was recognized as one of the recipients of the Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Award during the inaugural ceremony held on December 11, 2024, at the Brittany Hotel, Bonifacio Global City.

PNOC’s recognition highlights its pivotal role in advancing offshore wind (OSW) energy in the Philippines. For its part, the energy company is transforming its Energy Supply Base in Mabini, Batangas into an OSW integration port. This port aims to provide critical logistical support, addressing essential infrastructure needs for offshore wind players and enabling the successful implementation of OSW projects in the country.

PNOC Senior Vice President for Energy Investments, Ma. Rowena Raymundo, accepted the award on behalf of PNOC. The company shared the spotlight with other public sector agencies, including the Department of Energy, Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Board of Investments. These institutions were recognized for their essential roles in developing policies, driving research initiatives, and fostering a robust regulatory environment to support offshore wind energy.

The Raymund Pascual Offshore Wind Awards pay tribute to the late Raymund Pascual, former BlueFloat Energy Country Manager and POWER Philippines Founding President. Known for his leadership, unwavering commitment to offshore wind innovation, and vision for industry collaboration, Pascual’s legacy continues to inspire efforts toward a clean and sustainable energy future.

In addition to public sector recognition, the awards also honored individuals, companies, and organizations from the private sector whose innovation, dedication, and strategic initiatives have been instrumental in shaping and advancing the offshore wind industry in the Philippines.

The awards ceremony was jointly organized by BlueFloat Energy, the Global Wind Energy Council, the Wind Energy Developers Association of the Philippines, and the Pilipinas Offshore Wind Energy Roundtable.
