PASAY CITY, Metro Manila—PNOC reaffirmed its commitment to responsible fiscal management by actively participating in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCC) Budget Forum, held on January 28, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The event was organized by the Department of Budget and Management, in collaboration with the Governance Commission for Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GCG) providing important updates, guidelines, and reminders on the budget preparation process. Among the key topics discussed were the 2026 Budget Preparation, offering an overview of budgetary priorities and considerations for the upcoming fiscal year. Officials emphasized the importance of adhering to updated budget preparation forms and requirements, ensuring GOCCs meet the latest documentation standards.

The forum also underscored the submission requirements and budget preparation calendar, with a focus on critical deadlines and compliance measures. Attendees received updates on the Compensation and Position Classification System, which includes adjustments to salary structures, benefits, and classifications.

Another significant discussion point was Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting, highlighting the need for gender-responsive financial planning. PNOC reiterated its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, supporting gender-sensitive budgeting initiatives.

Additionally, the forum addressed key reforms in policy and advisory matters for GOCCs, further advancing efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in fiscal management.

PNOC was represented by Strategy Management Office Officer-in-Charge Helen Alfonso, Budget Officer V Nicetas Ruth Garvida, and Development Management Officer IV Armando Perez.

In line with its commitment to fiscal responsibility, PNOC will submit its budget forms in April 2025. The company remains dedicated to aligning its budget proposals with national priorities, following government directives, and ensuring consistency with the energy sector’s strategic goals.
