TAGUIG CITY, Metro Manila—Key PNOC officials, supervisors, and selected associates convened to finalize the company’s strategic priorities and initiatives for the first trimester of 2025 during the Strategic Execution Workshop (SEW) held from December 16 to 19, 2024.
Over the four-day workshop, participants focused on the company’s strategy map four perspectives: Customer, Core Process, Learning and Growth, and Financial. The workshop provided an avenue to deliberate on proposed initiatives, performance metrics, and budget allocations, as well as to assess presentations from Strategic Initiative Champions.
During the opening program, PNOC President and CEO Oliver B. Butalid emphasized the company’s renewed vision. “Think Global, Act Local—Always with Partners. This reflects the essence of PNOC’s new approach to doing business. We aim to leverage global strategies while staying grounded in the needs of the communities we serve, always working hand in hand with our partners,” he stated.
PNOC outlined its plans to advance renewable energy projects, including formalizing partnerships with foreign energy companies and progressing key infrastructure initiatives such as the Tawi-Tawi Self-Generating Industrial Park and the Offshore Wind Integration Port in Batangas. The company also prioritized providing energy solutions to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, with projects like the Masbate Hybrid Wind/Solar initiative and the deployment of energy systems to underserved communities.
The workshop also highlighted PNOC’s efforts to improve energy services for government agencies through new contracts, feasibility studies, and innovative technologies. Internally, the company plans to enhance organizational efficiency through digital transformation, AI tools, and streamlined workflows. Key initiatives include training programs, talent development, and improved performance management systems.
In addition to its energy-focused initiatives, PNOC aims to optimize asset utilization and strengthen communication strategies to engage stakeholders, including the youth. By fostering awareness of the PNOC brand and its mission, these efforts are designed to inspire active participation and provide energy investors with seamless access to opportunities in the country’s renewable energy sector.
The workshop served as a platform for PNOC to align its objectives and initiatives for2025, reaffirming its commitment to advancing the energy sector and fostering sustainable growth through strategic planning and innovation.
